Cigar News: Ventura Cigar Company Partners with Benji Menendez and Manuel Quesada for Two Cigars

Two years ago Ventura Cigar Company acquired a small company called Cuban Cigar Factory. Now Ventura is turning to two Cuban legends to revive the brand. At this year’s 2019 IPCPR Trade Show, Ventura Cigar Company will showcase a pair of cigars under the Cuban Cigar Brand name where Benjamin “Benji” Menendez and Manuel “Manolo” Quesada will each team up with Ventura General Manager Michael Giannini for a namesake blend.

The Benji Menendez for Cuban Cigar Factory features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Dominican binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler. Meanwhile, the Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory features a Habano Ecuador wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and Dominican fillers. Both cigars are produced out of the Quesada Cigars Factory and both are available in three sizes with each presented in 20-count boxes: Robusto, Toro, and Belicoso.

“I feel like I’m a Rick Rubin of the cigar industry,” commented Michael Giannini in a press release. “I’m bringing people together – people who I admire, my great friends who laid the foundation of the cigar industry, and people of the next generation. The creators and the consumers. Everyone has something to offer. We have a duty to engage this talent, not to let these great minds and their priceless knowledge fade away. They’re now our mentors, an inspiration to us all, and they’re still here. They’re still on the court, so let’s play ball. Let’s show everyone what we can do.”

Both cigars are expected to ship later this summer.

The 2019 IPCPR Trade Show opens June 29th, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
