Luis Falto, President, CEO and Master Blender of Tabacalera Falto, Inc. (consisting of La Garita Cigar Co. and Cigarros Falto brands) based in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico has announced his company will release two limited edition cigars in 2020 to commemorate his company’s 25th anniversary. These cigars include the Falto Edición Especial ELH Hato Viejo 2018 and Falto La Pureza.
In announcing the cigars Luis Falto discussed his journey in the cigar business and how he started working with La Aurora. “That road took me to Santiago de los Caballeros, the Mecca of Dominican cigars and region where some of the most prestigious brands of cigars in the world are produced. I started working with the La Aurora group on a small, very personal production, maintaining strict quality control. This intimate production was very welcomed in the US market and from that point forward, our growth has been accelerated and the name of Puerto Rico is already associated with world-class cigars.”
Located in Mayagüez, Falto opened Studio de Tabaco where Tabacalera Falto distributes, stores, operates and markets its product. “I opened and expanded the Estudio de Tabaco, which is visited by appointment only, equipped with the latest technology in extraction system so that cigar lovers can have an entire experience, matching their favorite Falto Cigars paired with exclusive liquors and coffees,” added Falto.
The Falto La Pureza is a 6 7/8 x 40 lancero featuring an HVA Habano Ecuador wrapper, Dominican Criollo ’98 binder and Dominican fillers. This cigar is expected to be released in March 2020. This will be followed by the Falto Edición Especial ELH Hato Viejo 2018. The ELH will be offered in a 6 x 52 Robusto Extra featuring all-Dominican blend highlighted by a Dominican Corojo wrapper. Plans are for the ELH to be released at the PCA 2020 Trade Show in Las Vegas this summer.
Production is handled out of the La Aurora factory under the supervision of Luis Falto.
