For the past few weeks, General Cigar retailers have been hearing about a cigar known as Weller by Cohiba. It’s a limited edition offering from General Cigar’s Cohiba brand that was blended especially to complement Weller Bourbon. This week the Weller by Cohiba cigar has started to make its way to retailers.

“We blended Weller by Cohiba to be the ultimate cigar for spirits connoisseurs. The experience is rich and layered, imparting notes of cocoa, espresso and leather on the palate before cascading to a luxurious finish. While the depth and complexity of this cigar make it the ideal choice for pairing with your favorite spirit, Weller by Cohiba is equally as extraordinary when savored on its own,” commented Cohiba brand ambassador Sean Williams in a press release.

Weller by Cohiba consists of a Honduran San Agustin Ligero wrapper with a Connecticut Havano Medio Tiempo and fillers from Estelí and Ometepe in Nicaragua. The cigar will be available in one size – a 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto. Each cigar will be presented in a glass tube. The cigars will be available in ten-count boxes. Pricing is set at $19.99 per cigar or $199.90 for a box. Total production numbers have not been disclosed.

General Cigar says future collaborations between Cohiba and Weller Bourbon are currently being explored.
