Oveja Negra Brands has announced it is shipping the Black Label Trading Company Viaticum 2021 edition release to select retailers.

Viaticum was introduced two years ago at the IPCPR Trade Show. It was a cigar introduced to commemorate Black Label Trading Company’s sixth anniversary. It’s an offshoot of Black Label Trading Company’s Last Rites line. Viaticum uses most of the same tobaccos as Last Rites, but uses different proportions and incorporates different primings. The 2019 edition was introduced in the form of a 5 x 54 box-pressed Robusto. For 2021, the Robusto size returns along with a 6 x 48 Toro, and a 6 3/4 x 40 lancero.

“Viaticum is an evolution of the Last Rites blend and a testament to what Black Label Trading Co is all about. It uses most of the same tobaccos but in different proportions and primings. It’s the perfect balance between strength and complexity. This cigar is bold but also very refined. It’s all about balance. The dark fruit and earth flavors are wrapped in soft floral notes and elevated with a multitude of spice on the finish,” says James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
