Davidoff has announced it will add a new 4 x 44 Half Corona size to its Zino Nicaragua line. The one difference with Zino Nicaragua Half Corona is that it will feature a pre-cut on the cap.
Zino Nicaragua made its debut in 2021. While Zino has been recognized for many years as an ultra-premium brand known for its limited editions, Zino Nicaragua was positioned as a value-priced regular-production cigar. It also was targeted not just at premium tobacconists but also at convenience stores.
Mostly, the cigars for the Zino brand have come out of the Dominican Republic. Another difference with Zino Nicaragua is that it is produced in Honduras at Davidoff’s Diadema Cigars de Honduras S.A. This factory is best known for making most of Davidoff’s Camacho cigars. The Zino Nicaragua features an Ecuadorian wrapper and Nicaraguan tobaccos for the binder and filler. There are also Honduran and Dominican tobaccos in the filler. There is also a cigarillo line that features an entirely different blend. The Half Corona joins the Gordo, Short Torpedo, Robusto, and Toro sizes as regular production offerings in the Zino Nicaragua line. Pricing is set at $6.00 SRP/cigar.
The Zino Nicaragua Half Corona will be presented in five-count boxes. It is scheduled to ship in September.
