When it comes to Padrón Cigars, the company doesn’t always attend the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show. This year Padrón would come into the Trade Show with a pair of PCA Exclusive Cigars, a refreshed sampler of some of its more acclaimed cigars, and the unreleased Fuente y Padrón Legends collaboration. This made the stop at the Padrón booth more intriguing than in recent years.

Fuente y Padrón Legends is the well-publicized collaboration between Arturo Fuente and Padrón Cigars. Last year, the product was unveiled at the 2022 PCA Trade Show in a common area between both booths. There was no common area this year, so the Legends collaboration was displayed at the Fuente and Padrón booths. The ship date for the Fuente y Padrón Legends hasn’t been announced. There also isn’t any new information on pricing or blends. What we do know is Padrón will be handling the distribution.

Making its debut at the 2023 PCA Trade Show is a new PCA Exclusive offering, the Padrón Black PB-97. Consistent with most Padrón releases, it is being offered in a Natural and Maduro offering. These cigars are based on the Padrón Black offering – which has been released in limited batches before. The PB-97 introduces a new size – a 6 3/4 x 52 torpedo. Both cigars are priced at $40.00 each. This is the third consecutive year Padrón has offered a PCA Exclusive, but it’s the first time it was not a cigar in the Family Reserve line.

Also, Padrón has introduced an updated version of its Cigar of the Year sampler. It contains one of each of the cigars that placed #1 on the Cigar Aficionado Top 25 list. Basically, it’s the same sampler as the previous iteration, but it was expanded to four cigars to include the Padrón 1964 Anniversary Series Torpedo, which was Cigar Aficionado’s #1 Cigar in 2021. Pricing is set at $108.55 for the sampler.
