Andy Yaffee, best known for being Micallef Cigars’ National Sales Director for the past four years, is leaving the company and joining Crowned Heads. Yaffee will be the territory sales representative for Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, the Carolinas, and Washington D.C.
Prior to joining Micallef, Yaffee spent five years as a sales representative for La Flor Dominicana and also was a sales representative for Nat Sherman.
Yaffee fills a role that was opened up when Wes Thornton, a long-time sales manager for Crowned Heads, parted ways with the company over the past month. Last month, Micallef Cigars announced it was merging sales teams with All Saints Cigars, and that All Saints Cigars co-owner Micky Pegg would become President of Micallef Sales. At the time of that announcement, Micallef and All Saints Cigars said Yaffee would remain in the role as National Sales Director reporting to Pegg.
Meanwhile, Crowned Heads also announced it has hired Craig Smith as a territory sales representative for California, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. It also acknowledged a 2022 hire of Jake Sanders, who represents the midwest and includes Indiana.
“I’m excited to welcome these three dynamic individuals to the Crowned Heads team,” commented National Sales Manager Miguel Schoedel. “Their addition will go a long way towards our goal of providing an unparalleled level of customer support and attention to our retail partners.
“I truly want everyone to know how grateful I was for my time at Micallef,” told Yaffee in a statement to Cigar Coop.
Dan Thompson, President of Micallef Cigars issued a statement on social media:
“As many of you know, Andy has been a cornerstone of Micallef Cigars since he joined us in 2019. His work with our Ambassadors and retail partners has been invaluable, and we’re grateful for the positive impact he’s had on our team.
