At the Total Product Expo (TPE) 2024, Altadis U.S.A. will introduce its latest barber-pole offering, the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Midnight Twist. Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua was introduced in 2019 as a Nicaraguan counterpart to the original Dominican-made Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real. In 2022, Altadis introduced the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Twisted, a barber offering of the Dominican-made Reserva Real.
Like the Reserva Real Nicaragua, the Midnight Twist is produced at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The blend features 100% Nicaraguan tobacco with two contrasting wrappers for the barber-pole effect. Altadis U.S.A. says the binder and filler for the Midnight Twist are the same as for the Reserva Real Nicaragua.
The Midnight Twist is available in two sizes, each packaged in 25-count boxes. These boxes are Twisted Love Story (46 x 4 1/4, $9.92/cigar) and Twisted Toro (54 x 6, $10.92/cigar). These two barber-pole sizes are also found on the Dominican Reserva Real Twisted release.
The Midnight Twist will ship in March 2023. TPE 2024 opens on January 31, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
