Rodolfo (Rudy) Padrón, a member of the Padrón family who worked in operations for Padrón Cigars has passed away. He was 62 years old. The Padrón family announced Rudy’s passing on social media.
Padrón was the nephew of the the late company founder, José Orlando Padrón. He was a known for his great sense of humor.
The family issued the following statement on social media:
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rodolfo (Rudy) Padrón. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving wife, daughters, sister, son in laws , grandchildren, members of the Padrón Family and close friends.
A humble and thoughtful man, Rudy was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, friend and advisor.
Rudy was a calm, patient and caring teacher and mentor, always available to those who asked for or needed his life advice and guidance.
His unforgettable sense of humor and anecdotes evolved into a family term for his positions on life – “Rudyisms”.
Whether boating, fishing, hunting or simply relaxing in nature, Rudy was a lover of the outdoors.
He will forever be remembered in the hearts and thoughts of family, friends, business associates and all those he touched across his sixty-two years of a wonderful life … he will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, his loving wife, daughters, sister, son in laws would appreciate donations in his name, Rodolfo (Rudy) Padrón, to the University of Miami for continued research into advanced and rare Sarcomas and finding a cure.
