General Cigar Company has announced Punch Dad’s Home Movies. It’s a limited edition planned as the brand’s Father’s Day themed released for 2024. Dad’s Home Movies are packaged in a ten-count box resembling a 1980s VHS cassette with a sleeve.
The cigar comes in one size—a 6 x 50 box-pressed Toro. Produced at the HATSA factory in Honduras, Dad’s Home Movies uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, Nicaraguan Condega binder, and a three-region Nicaraguan filler blend featuring tobacco from Condega, Estelí, and Ometepe.
Dad’s Home Movies marks the second year in a row that Punch has released a Father’s Day-themed film. In 2023, General released the Punch Dad Bod for Father’s Day.
In a press release, Punch Brand Manager John Hakim commented, “With the release of Punch Dad Bod for Father’s Day last year, we knew we were on to something. So we upped the ante this year with Dad’s Home Movies. It serves three purposes in one: It lets the Dad in your life know how much you care, opens the door for you to rib him for being old, and gives you a chance to enjoy a great Punch cigar with him while he reminisces about the good old days.”
Dad’s Home Movies comes in at a price point of $7.49 per cigar. It is currently shipping to retailers.
