At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co will introduce the Island Jim Barber Pole. It is the fourth blend in the Island Jim line.
Island Jim is a brand created by Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co for retailer Jim Robinson, alongside the Leaf by Oscar line. In recent years, both the Island Jim and Leaf by Oscar lines have become fully integrated into Oscar Valladares’ portfolio. Like the other three offerings in the Island Jim line, the Barber Pole is a 6 x 52 torpedo cigar that features a shagged foot. The cigar itself features Connecticut and Corojo wrappers intertwined into a barber pole over an undisclosed binder and filler.
The Barber Pole comes in 21-count boxes with pricing at $13.00 per cigar. The Barber Pole is a regular production offering.
The other three Island Jim offerings are the original Island Jim #2, the Island Jim Maduro #2, and the Island Jim Connecticut #2. The Barber Pole starts shipping once the 2025 PCA Trade Show opens. The show takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana and opens April 12, 2025.
