Shortly after announcing the launch of the Regius Exclusivo U.S.A. line, Regius Cigars is gearing up for a second United States market exclusive. The Regius Claro Especial is set to on September 25th at the same place where the first Regius Exclusivo U.S.A. was launched- Casa de Montecristo just outside Chicago, Illinois.
Reports of the new Exclusivo U.S.A. starting surfacing earlier this week. In an interview that Cigar Coop had with Regius Cigars’ owner Akhil Kapacee, he set the record straight that the cigar will be called the Regius Claro Especial Exclusivo U.S.A. While it will share U.S. market exclusivity with the red label Regius Exclusivo U.S.A, this cigar will feature a new blend.
The Regius Claro Especial Exclusivo U.S.A will be a Nicaraguan puro. The plan with this cigar was to put less emphasis on the wrapper and more emphasis on the binder and filler. To compensate for this, Kapacee opted to place a double binder on this cigar. The primary band of the cigars will be a white and silver version of Regius’ band. A red, silver, and white secondary band will denote “Exclusivo U.S.A”.

Kapacee said the Claro Especial line will launch in the same sizes (Fat Perfecto, Pressed Perfecto, Toro Extra, and Lancero Extra). Like the red label Regius Exclusivo U.S.A. line, there are plans to add a Toro and Robusto.
At the launch event at Casa de Montecristo, there are plans to raffle off a Rolex Just2 watch. The launch of the Exclusivo U.S.A. Red Label back in May also raffled off a Rolex watch.
