The 2015 IPCPR Trade Show marked the second one for Las Cumbres Tabaco, the company launched last year by Jose Blanco and his wife Emma Viktorsson. This was a very busy show for the company as it showcased three new offerings: the new Freyja line, the new Senorial Maduro line, and the lancero line extension to Senorial.
While Freyja was announced several weeks ago, the IPCPR Trade Show marked the first time the packaging has been showcased. Freyja is a project that was spearheaded by Viktorsson. The name Freyja refers to the Viking goddess of beauty and fertility. The cigar features a Dominican Criollo wrapper, a Mexican San Andres binder, and a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos in the filler. It is being launched in four sizes : Sessrumnir (5 3/4 X 42), Valhalla (5 1/2 x 50), Thor’s Toro: (6 x 54), and Valkyrie (a 6 1/2 x 52 pyramid). The cigars are packaged in 21 count boxes. Pricing is $7.00 to $10.00.
In addition to Frejya, the new offerings under Senorial were showcased. This was highlighted by the Senorial Maduro. This cigar features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Dominican Piloto Cubano, and a combination of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Dominican Criollo 98 for the filler. The Senorial Maduro Natural is being launched in four sizes: Lonsdale Refinado (6 1/2 x 44), Robusto Digno (5 1/2 x 50), Toro Coloso (6 x 54), and Opulent (6 x 60). The cigars are packaged in 21 count boxes consisting of three rows of seven cigars. Pricing is $7.50 to $10.00.
Finally, the, lancero line extension to the core Senorial line was showcased. The Senorial Lancero is a 7 x 38 vitola. It is the sixth vitola in the regular production Senorial line. Like the other vitolas, it features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of Dominican Piloto Cubano and Dominican Corojo. The Lancero is packaged in 48 count boxes and priced $9.00 per cigar.
All Las Cumbres Tabaco cigars are produced at Tabacalera Palma in the Dominican Republic.
