Asylum Cigars was founded in 2012. It is a project that is a collaboration between Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa. It is a brand under the CLE Cigar Company portfolio.

In a press release announcing the Asylum Lobotomy, John Spisak of Famous Smoke Shop said “Both Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa wanted to make a great cigar that offered filet mignon flavor at ground beef prices, and they hit the mark with the Lobotomy. I love Nicaraguan tobacco as it is, and this is the quintessential Nicaraguan cigar. Spicy, sweet, rich, full flavored; all the qualities of a true Nicaraguan puro are there. But I just can’t get over how affordable it is. My humidor is getting close to empty, so I’m running down now to restock with these for sure.”

Asylum joins companies such as Padron CigarsAlec BradleyCrowned Heads, and Drew Estate  as companies that have recently partnered with Famous on Shop Exclusive Cigars.
