Although the Tobacconist Association of America (TAA) has postponed its annual convention and trade show, that is not stopping companies from announcing their TAA releases. Today, Drew Estate has announced its 2020 edition of the Herrera Esteli TAA Exclusive. It’s the same blend that was originally introduced in 2016, but it has received a packaging upgrade.
The packaging upgrade will be consistent with the rest of the portfolio. It will use the red banding that has been used on previous releases. The box counts are still 12 and each box is priced at $147.17 per box. There is a total allocation of 800 boxes and the cigars ship immediately.
The Herrera Esteli TAA Exclusive features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Brazilian Mata Fina binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar is offered in a 6 x 52 Toro.
“My goal with this blend was to take the lush Connecticut Broadleaf capa tobacco and apply my Miami style to the blend. This cigar shines right from the cold draw and gets better with every puff. I’m thrilled that now the boxes match the rest of the Herrera lineup, they will pop on the shelves,” commented Willy Herrera in a press release.
After being introduced in 2016, the Herrera Esteli TAA Exclusive has been an ongoing annual release for TAA retailers. Typically TAA Exclusive Cigars are unveiled at the annual convention and made available to the approximately 80 retail members. The members come together at the annual convention and collectively make high volume purchases on cigars in exchange for exclusive promotions and pricing. The TAA Convention was scheduled to open March 22, 2020, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico before being postponed due to the threat of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
