Altadis USA has announced the latest edition to its Espada by Montecristo line, the Espada by Montecristo Signature. This is a limited edition cigar slated to begin hitting retail stores in December 2021.
The Espada by Montecristo was the first Nicaraguan-made Montecristo by Altadis USA. It’s a line produced at the Plasencia factory in Nicaragua. The Espada by Montecristo Signature joins the Espada by Montecristo, Espada by Montecristo Oscuro, and the limited edition Espada by Montecristo Estoque as offerings in the line.
Like the other Espada offerings, the Espada by Montecristo Signature comes from the Plasencia factory and was done in collaboration with Rafael Nodal and the Grupo de Maestros. The cigar is highlighted by a Colorado Claro wrapper from the Jalapa region of Nicaragua, and a combination of binder and filler tobaccos from the Estelí region of Nicaragua. The cigar comes in one size – a 55 x 6 Toro known as Valiente. The cigars are presented in ten-count boxes.
Pricing for the Espada by Montecristo Signature is set at $150.00 per box.
