December 2023 will see the debut of the Powstanie SBC22. This is the fourth installment in Powstanie’s SBC limited edition series. The cigar was previewed this past summer at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show.

SBC means “Surrounded by Champions.” It’s a cigar that pays homage to the people (champions) that have led to the success of the Powstanie brand.

The cigar is a 5 1/2 x 46 Corona Gorda featuring a barber-pole-style wrapper. The blend is not being disclosed. According to Powstanie cigars, the blend was not created by Powstanie co-owners Mike & Gregg Szczepankiewicz but by Skip Martin, owner of the Nico Sueño factory in Nicaragua who produces the Powstanie branded cigars.

“This could possibly be the greatest blend Skip has ever created,” said Mike Szczepankiewicz in a press release.

A launch event for the Powstanie SBC22 will be released at Smoke on the Water in Weston on December 9th and will ship to Powstanie retailers the following week. Distribution is handled by Pospiech Cigars Inc.

“Throughout the entire year, we have given our new releases to one of our retail partners first. Simply to highlight some of our great partners all over the nation. We will continue this trend going into 2024,” added Mike.

A total of 500 20-count boxes are being released. Pricing is set at $17.00 SRP/cigar.

Previous iterations of the SBC series include SBC16, SBC18, and SBC20. These cigars have been released in different sizes and blends, and each has been a “one and done” release.
