Rocky Patel Year of the Dragon

Rocky Patel Premium Cigars has announced it will do a Year of the Dragon 2024 cigar. It joins companies such as Davidoff, Gurkha, Tabacalera(VegaFina), Oliva, and Maya Selva doing cigars.

The U.S. market will see a 6 1/2 x 50 Toro that will debut at the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in July. In addition, Halfwheel has reported Robusto and Robusto Grande sizes going to the International and Duty-Free markets, respectively.

Production for the Rocky Patel Year of the Dragon 2024 line comes from Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) in Estelí, Nicaragua. A San Andres Maduro wrapper highlights the blend and features Nicaraguan tobaccos grown from farms owned by Rocky Patel.

The U.S. release will be presented in ten-count boxes and priced at $35.00 per cigar. Production is limited for all sizes, with the U.S. slated to get 6,000 boxes of the Toro.

The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens on March 23, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Update 1/28/24: Added Robusto Grande 5-count packaging.
