At the 2024 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, Dissident Cigars will release Dissident Plasmatic. This is a limited edition cigar that pays homage to punk rock band The Plasmatics and its lead singer, the late Wendy O. Williams.

The Dissident Plasmatic is a barber-pole cigar highlighted by Sumatra and Connecticut wrappers. The wrappers cover an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Packaged in 20-count boxes, the cigar comes in one size – a 5 1/2 x 52 vitola. As with all Dissident Cigars, it is produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra and distributed by Oveja Negra Brands. The cigar is priced at $12.50 MSRP.

“Wendy O. Williams is an icon of punk rock decadence & attitude who is known for going against social norms, her over-the-top on stage antics, and for questioning authority! If that’s not living the life of a Dissident, we don’t know what is!” said Dissident owner/blender Cynn Coburn in a press release. “The Plasmatic is a tribute to her rebellious lifestyle and legacy!”

The 2024 PCA Trade Show opens March 24, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Plasmatic is first being offered to attendees of the Trade Show with the remaining boxes to be made available after the Trade Show.
