Punch Bottle Rocket

General Cigar Company has been informing retailers about its latest limited Chinese New Year release, the Punch Bottle Rocket. The Bottle Rocket is set to ship to retailers on February 3rd, 2025.

Punch Bottle Rocket features a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, a Nicaraguan Estelí binder, and a combination of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and Honduran fillers. Production comes from the HATSA factory in Honduras. The Bottle Rocket comes in a single size — a 4 1/2  x 50 figurado. Keeping with the firework-themed release introduced in 2024 with Punch Dragon Fire, Bottle Rocket comes packaged in a 20-count firework canister with the cigar attached to its own firework The canisters also display serpent imagery as a nod to the Year of the Snake, which begins on January 29, 2025.

Punch Bottle Rocket is the seventh installment of Punch’s take on a Chinese New Year commemorative cigar. The first five installments had a food theme, but last year, the theme switched to fireworks.

In a press release, Punch’s brand manager, Scott Abney, said, “Much like a good firework, Punch Bottle Rockets are powerful, eye-catching, and surprising in all the right ways. Beyond the colorful packaging and bombastic branding lies a truly excellent cigar crafted with a rich Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Grab a pack of Bottle Rockets and start the Lunar New Year off with a bang!”


Pricing for the Bottle Rocket comes in at $6.99 per cigar. Production numbers have not been disclosed.
