Emilio Cigars Brand Developer Gary Griffith |
On a post on his twitter feed, Emilio Cigars brand developer Gary Griffith announced that the Carpe Noctem cigar will be shipping this November. It was about a year ago when Griffith mentioned plans for the Carpe Noctem. This is a cigar that was done in collaboration with AJ. Fernandez – and would mark the fifth cigar in Emilio’s line to be done with Fernandez ( Emilio AF1, Emilio AF2, Emilio AF Suave, and soon to be released Mia Dora). The cigar had originally been targeted for release earlier in 2013.
The name “Carpe Noctem” translates to “seize the night”. This fits well as Griffith had previously described the project as an “incredibly
dark, strong, and spicy cigar“. At the time the plans for the blend include a broadleaf maduro wrapper and “plenty of Esteli ligero in the filler“. The plan originally was to launch this cigar in a robusto, toro, and 6 x 60.

Griffith also announced the La Musa Aoide, the third blend in the La Musa line will be available for fall shipment.
