llinois-based distributor, Arango Cigar Company is adding a fourth line to its Clasicos series. The company has announced that CAO Gold will be offered in four sizes exclusive to Arango and will only be sold to brick and mortar retailers.
The CAO Gold Clasico is made by General Cigar Company. It will be packaged similar to the regular market CAO Gold. It will feature a similar blend. Consistent with other Clasico offerings by Arango, the CAO Gold Clasico will be available in four sizes that pay tribute to the city of Chicago: Mag Mile (5-1/2 x 44); Windy City (5 x 50); Bucktown (6-1/8 x 52, Belicoso); and Gold Coast (6 x 60).
The CAO Gold made its debut in 1996 and is one of the milder offerings by the company.
The Clasicos series is a series in which Arango offers exclusive frontmarks to popular brands. In 2013, Arango introduced the series with the launch of the Macanudo Clasicos and Punch Clasicos. This was followed up earlier this year by the launch of the Romeo y Julieta Clasicos. Each of these three offerings were launched in the same vitolas that pay tribute to Chicago.
Similar to the Macanudo Clasicos and Punch Clasicos lines, the CAO Gold Clasicos offerings will feature a secondary band that says “Clasicos”.
