General Cigar has announced the Diesel Delirium as a 2020 limited edition release. It’s a line that was originally released in 2014, but returns next month with an updated blend.
It’s a cigar that was developed by AJ Fernandez in conjunction with Diesel Senior Brand Manager Justin Andres. The cigar features an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper, a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a blend of Nicaraguan Ligero and Ometepe. The cigar comes in one size – a 6 x 52 Toro and is presented in rustic ten-count boxes. A total of 5,000 boxes have been produced. Pricing is set at $10.00 SRP per cigar.
This is the second limited edition release under the Diesel brand since General Cigar moved the brand into its brick and mortar offerings in 2017. It follows up 2019’s Diesel Hair of the Dog.
“Diesel Delirium is about disruption. It’s a cigar that demands the smoker’s full attention and while it follows Hair of the Dog, the two blends couldn’t be more different. Delirium’s definitely powerhouse of a smoke, but it’s not just that. It’s also about dimension and balance, and that begins and ends with the blend we developed. This is a cigar that we recommend enjoying when you have time to commit to really experiencing the full spectrum of taste it delivers,” commented Justin Andrews.
The cigars are scheduled to arrive at retailers beginning March 2nd.
