Aladino Classic Elegante

Aladino Classic Elegante by JRE Tobacco Co.

Today, we look at the Aladino Classic Elegante. This 38 x 7 lancero-sized offering was introduced to the Aladino Classic line in 2023. The Aladino Classic line made its debut in 2022. The name Aladino Classic comes from the fact that the cigar incorporates Habano tobacco. JRE Tobacco Co is known for using Authentic Corojo tobacco from its farms. At the same time, the company grows other types of tobacco. Since Habano is ultimately a classic tobacco leaf, the name Aladino Classic was adopted.

PERFORMANCE

The Aladino Classic Elegante comes out of the gate with notes of earth, natural tobacco, candy apple, baking spice, and black pepper notes. The natural tobacco and candy apple notes moved to the forefront early on. The notes had an incredible balance during the first third. The retro-hale also delivered some of the candy apple sweetness. The second third saw the earth notes join the natural tobacco and candy apple in the forefront. There was a gradual increase in the black pepper on the tongue while the retro-hale transitioned to more back pepper. The final third saw the combination of earth, natural tobacco, and candy apple remain. There were notes of black pepper, and to a lesser extent, the baker’s spice notes remain. The Classic Elegante closed quite smoothly with a soft, cool nub.

The flavors of the Classic Elegante were medium-bodied and countered by medium strength. The burn required minimal touch-ups to maintain a straight burn path and burn line. The draw was slightly open but never in danger of a combustion issue.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT

Final Thoughts

The Aladino Classic Elegante is an absolute home run by JRE Tobacco Company. This cigar is a flavor-bomb from start to finish. No doubt this lancero format is the “Belle of the Ball” when it comes to the Aladino Classic line.  Aaron Loomis said it best when he said JRE is the king of lancero cigars. JRE simply does not miss when it comes to the 38 x 7. Add to the fact that this cigar is under $10.00, and you simply cannot go wrong. This is a cigar that I can recommend to any cigar enthusiast. As for myself, this is a cigar I would buy and smoke again. In fact, it’s a no-brainer for a box purchase. Coming in at 92 points, this cigar exceeds the Cigar Coop Standard of Excellence threshold.
