On the eve of the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, E.P. Carrillo has announced another cigar being made outside its own factory. The cigar is called the E.P. Carrillo Allegiance, and it’s being made by Oliva Cigar Company.
Cigar Aficionado has reported that the Allegiance will be a limited production cigar, with 5,000 boxes being produced and 2,500 boxes for the international market. They report the blend as having an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler. Four sizes are being released: Robusto, Toro, Double Corona, and No. 58. Specific vitola dimensions and box counts were not mentioned. Pricing was reported in the $12.00 to $14.00 range.
Plans are other manufacturers to produce cigars for E.P. Carrillo under the Allegiance line.
This is the second project that E.P. Carrillo and Oliva are doing together for 2022. Oliva Cigar is also launching the Cuba Aliados by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo Jr. It’s a limited edition cigar made by Perez-Carrillo’s Jr. Tabacalera La Alianza factory for Oliva cigar.
The Allegiance is also the second E.P. Carrillo Cigar to be made in Nicaragua outside Tabacalera La Alianza. E.P. Carrillo has also announced the E.P. Carrillo INCH Nicaragua, a cigar being made by Plasencia.
The 2022 PCA Trade Show opens July 9, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
