My Father Cigars SA, the production facility run by the Garcia family in Estelí, Nicaragua, wins the Prime Time Award for Large Factory of the Year for 2023. This award factors in things such as innovation, continued quality, and impact on the industry coming out of a large factory. It’s the second year in a row the factory has won this honor, and it’s the first time in this category a factory has won it in consecutive years.
My Father was coming off a big year in 2022. It was that year that the factory produced the My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años Limited Edition Corona Extra, a cigar that would capture our 2023 Cigar of the Year. Going into 2023, the factory didn’t seem to miss a bit. It not only delivered stellar releases for the My Father brand but also delivered outstanding cigars for many of its key clients, such as Tatuaje, Ashton, and Crowned Heads. In the end, not only were the products fantastic, they showcased the versatility and consistency of quality coming out of this factory.
Our team noted this as well. My Father Cigars appeared on all five ballots, including two first-place votes and two second-place votes.

I just read this while passing this factory on my Puro Sabor tour bus. Cool moment. What a coincidence.
