PCA 2025 AJ Fernandez

The 2025 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show marked a unique year for AJ Fernandez Cigar Company. Naturally, everyone’s thoughts were with the company following the recent factory fire that occurred a few weeks prior. Despite this challenge, the company had several intriguing releases to showcase. First, they celebrated the tenth anniversary of the New World brand with a special commemorative cigar. Additionally, there was a collaboration with Dominican cigar legend Eladio Diaz. Lastly, a cigar originally created for Haiti was now being introduced for national distribution.

New World Decenio

New World Decenio commemorates ten years of the New World brand, as “Decenio” is Spanish for ten years or a decade. It was back in 2014 when AJ Fernandez unveiled the first New World (Oscuro) cigar, and it arguably has become the most successful line and brand in the company’s portfolio. Decenio is the sixth release under the New World brand. Notably, it is also the first New World to use a Mexican San Andres wrapper. The blend also utilizes a Nicaraguan binder, supplemented with fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. The cigars come in three sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 54), Toro (6 1/2 x 54), and Gordo (6 x 58). Pricing ranges from $12.50 to $15.00 per cigar.

Enclave by Eladio Diaz

The release of a collaboration between cigar masters AJ Fernandez and Eladio Diaz was surprisingly low-key. Diaz is well known for his work with Davidoff. The cigar started appearing at select retailers in February without much promotion and continued this understated approach during its national launch at a show.

The Enclave by Eladio Diaz is the third line under the Enclave brand. It is produced in the Dominican Republic at Diaz’s factory, Tabacalera Diaz-Cabrera. The blend for the Enclave by Eladio Diaz is composed of 100% Dominican fillers. The cigar is finished with an Ecuadorian binder and a Corojo ’99 wrapper. The line comes in three sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 54, SRP $9.00 per cigar), Toro (6 x 54, SRP $9.50 per cigar), and Gordo (6 x 60, SRP $10.00 per cigar). Each size comes in 20-count boxes.

Nasser The Goat

Nasser The Goat was originally a store exclusive for Nasser’s Lounge, a cigar lounge in Haiti owned by Jeff Nasser. Through word of mouth, the cigar gained popularity, leading to the decision for AJ Fernandez Cigar Company to distribute it in the U.S. late last year. AJ Fernandez Cigar Company showcased the cigar at this year’s event.

The Goat features a San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan Corojo binder, and proprietary Nicaraguan fillers. It currently comes in one size, a 6 x 52 Toro. Pricing is set at $16.00 SRP. The Goat is sold under the AJ Fernandez Portfolio line, a collection of cigars blended exclusively for AJ Fernandez’s own brand.
