Oveja Negra Brands has earned the Prime Time Award for 2024 Small/Medium Company of the Year. This award factors in innovation continued quality, and impact on the industry from a small or medium-sized company. It’s the second time Oveja Negra Brands has captured this honor.
Oveja Negra Brands includes Black Label Trading Company, Black Works Studio, Emilio Cigars, and distribution for Dissident Cigars. Oveja Negra Brands had a monster year around the Black Label Trading Company and Black Works Studio brands with several commercially successful and critically acclaimed releases. Under Black Label Trading Company, there was Orthodox, and a new regular production release was made with Coffin Nails. Black Works Studio delivered Intergalactic Event Horizon and Paper Crane. Oveja Negra Brands also continues to push the bar, offering innovative artwork on its packaging for its bands and boxes.
Oveja Negra Brands has its “less is more” philosophy, priding itself on being a small batch, limited production company. This has been challenging for many companies to manage, but Oveja Negra Brands has done it with ease. The company has a penchant for delivering the right products at the right time for its customers.
Oveja Negra Brands appeared on the ballots submitted by all seven team members voting for this award, including four first-place votes. All cigars from Oveja Negra Brands are produced at the company’s Fabrica Oveja Negra facility – which also captured our 2024 Small/Medium Factory of the Year Award. Oveja Negra also pulled off the factory-company double back in 2020.
