Regarding Arturo Fuente at the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show, I don’t think I ever remember a Trade Show like the 2025 one. Arturo Fuente had seven new product launches and four collaborations, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history. This is the largest number of new introductions we’ve seen from Arturo Fuente at one time. Many of these releases also featured various innovations.
The Arturo Fuente booth stood out from the others at the event. Rather than functioning solely as an order station, it served as a showcase for the history and heritage of the Fuente family. The team is known for hiding “Easter eggs” within the booth, hinting at upcoming launches, which makes them intriguing to find. However, the good news this year is that the new products were prominently displayed in a central location.
As mentioned, the Fuente booth is all about the family’s history and heritage. It’s the little things in the booth that make this special. The display cases have pictures of the Fuente family and artifacts and memories that are a part of their history.
Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr calls himself a “Tampa Boy.” One thing that Tampa is famous for is Cuban coffee. There has been a coffee station at the booth for the past few years. This year, it was a little late in the day for me to get coffee, but I can tell you it’s outstanding coffee.
The rooster gives you a picture of Ybor City in Tampa, where roosters and chickens walk the city streets.
Fuente Releases
Don Carlos 90 Años
Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. made this line to honor his father, the late Carlos Fuente Sr., who would have been 90 years old this year. This is an innovative spin on the Don Carlos line. The Don Carlos line typically undergoes a period of aging after rolling for at least a year. Don Carlos is renowned for the Cameroon wrapper it uses. The story with the 90 Años is that Carlito decided to take some of the aging Don Carlos and placed a Corojo wrapper over the Cameroon wrapper. Essentially, that gives the 90 Años a double wrapper. The double-wrapped cigars were then aged for at least another year. 90 Años is being released in a Robusto Extra format.
Fuente is big on numerology, so it’s no surprise the 90 Años comes in a 90-count chest. The price of the 90 Años will be $13.00. While nothing official has been announced, we could see these in time for Father’s Day.
Don Carlos Sangre de Toro
Don Carlos Sangre de Toro is an innovative release for Fuente because it marks the first time an Arturo Fuente Don Carlos vitola has used a San Andres Mexican wrapper. Outside of that, details of sizes, prices, and ship dates remain to be disclosed.
Black Pink
Last year, Arturo Fuente previewed the packaging of the Black Pink and then told folks to check this out for the scoop. This year, more details prompted confidence that we will see this in 2025. The Black Pink is the second installment in the Vintage 1960s series, following up the Rare Pink line. Like the Rare Pink, the Black Pink is an all figurado line highlighted by a dark Connecticut Habano wrapper. The Black Pink will be offered in three sizes: Work of Art (4 7/8 x 46/60), Happy Ending (5 1/2 x 53), and Signature (6 x 46). There is also another size called Black Panther, which has not been disclosed. Shipping dates and pricing are to be determined.
Añejo River Valley Rare Earth
This one flew under the radar but is another innovative release. As many know, the Añejo line is an offshoot of OpusX with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, and the Rare Earth is an offshoot of the Añejo using a proprietary hybrid Habano wrapper grown by John Foster of Foster Farms in Connecticut. Details on sizes, pricing, and shipping of the Arturo Fuente River Valley Rare Earth were not available at press time.
OpusX 25 Aniversario El Tributo
It depends on how you look at this; this is not a new release, but it’s being released differently. When OpusX 25 Years debuted in 2021, it was distributed through the accessory maker Elie Bleu. It was offered as a 7 x 50 Churchill cigar in an ultra-premium, limited Elie Bleu humidor and an ultra-premium Elie Bleu cabinet humidor. Now dubbed “El Tributo,” this size of the OpusX 25 will be distributed.
I’ve seen some media outlets report this was shipping post-show, and while I could be incorrect, this had not shipped at the time this article was published.
Fuente Fuente OpusX Forbidden X El Trece Magistral 13
As with many Arturo Fuente releases, this one is shrouded in mystery. The OpusX Forbidden X El Trece is a Dominican Puro from a 2015 production. It features tobaccos grown on the Chateau de la Fuente farm. It comes in one size – a 6 7/8 x 56 figurado. Retailers reported pricing for this 13-count box at $1,425.00.
Toymaker’s Vintage Series
Releasing in five-count boxes, these contain extra-aged OpusX cigars. Included in this upcoming release are the following OpusX cigars (and the date they were rolled):
- Belicoso XXX 2014
- LBMF 2015
- El Gran Opus 2020
- Toy Maker 2020
- Perfecxion 888 2020
- Keeper Of The Flame 2020
Collaboration Releases
All of these releases are being distributed outside of Arturo Fuente. Carlito Fuente and members of the Fuente family did the unveiling in each of these releases at the booth. This was the one year when it wouldn’t be challenging to answer if you asked, “Where’s Carlito?”.
S.T. Dupont Fuente Fuente OpusX Collection
There are two collections available. First is the Premium Collection, which features a detailed color pattern made up of “X” shapes. The colors represent those found in the various Opus X releases: red, white, blue, gold, green, and black. This collection was showcased at the Fuente booth.
Additionally, there is an ultra-premium Haute Collection, which includes a special ultra-premium Carlito bobblehead as its most exclusive item.
OpusX Society Gold & Bullet
This is the second cigar that Arturo Fuente has done for Manny Iriarte’s OpusX Society.
Gold & Bullet represents what Iriarate refers to as the “push and pull” of daily life. The Gold symbolizes the success you strive for, while the Bullet signifies the mistakes that follow you from behind. In this context, the cigar represents the Gold, embodying your desired achievement. The packaging of Gold & Bullet says: “It is a cigar that represents triumph, success, perseverance, and discipline in life. It is a cigar full of love, joy, and optimism… It’s Gold and it’s nothing related to the Bullet.”
As is typical, there is an aura of mystery that surrounds this release. Aside from the cigar being a 6 3/4 x 50 vitola in 12-count boxes, few details have been released about this cigar.
Elie Bleu Paris Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Collection
The Collection includes an exclusive Opus Angel’s Share Stairway to Heaven cigar packaged in a luxury humidor and additional accessories.
The Fuente Fuente OpusX Angel’s Share Stairway to Heaven is a never-before-released 56 x 7 1/4 figurado. The cigar will only be available for purchase with the Elie Bleu Fuente Opus X Angel’s Share humidor. The humidor is a collaboration between Elie Bleu, Carlito Fuente Jr., Manny Iriarte, and Reyes International. The humidors are offered in two finishes: Natural Sycamore and Red Sycamore. Pricing comes in at $17,500. A total of 92 units have been created.
Additionally, the following accessories will be available for purchase separately. Pricing information was not available at the time of publication.
- Elie Bleu Angel’s Share Limoges Porcelain Ashtray
- Elie Bleu Angel’s Share J14 Lighter
- Elie Bleu Angel’s Share Scissors
- Elie Bleu Angel’s Share J15 Lighter
Brizard and Co. Les Chaînes de l’Amour
Finally, Fuente and Brizard and Co. are collaborating for Les Chaînes de l’Amour. This is described as a collaboration between Carlito Fuente of Arturo Fuente, Cyril Brizard of Brizard and Co., and Christian Maccarrone. The Maccarrone family legacy is rooted in yacht building and design, and has worked in woodworking and marquetry for cigar accessories.
Les Chaînes de l’Amour consists of a series of humidors and cigar cases available in three colors. The colors are black, blue, and red, which are OpusX colors. In addition, the humidors and cases will come with exclusive OpusX cigars.
