JR Cigars has announced the next installment of its 50th Anniversary series will come from Alec & Bradley Rubin of Alec Bradley Cigars. The cigar is called the Alec & Bradley Wagyu A5. It’s named for the famed ultra-premium Japanese beef.
“We wanted to create a cigar that evoked the characteristics of Wagyu beef: luxury, flavor and rarity and that’s exactly what you get,” says Bradley Rubin. Alec Rubin adds, “We also wanted to create a rich and meaty blend that would pair well with Wagyu beef and create a similar flavor profile. I think we nailed it.”
The cigar is a limited edition cigar featuring a San Andres Mexican wrapper over a Honduran Habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua, Colombia, and Honduras. Wagyu A5 is available in one size – a 52 x 6 Toro. The cigars are presented in ten-count boxes with a total production of 500 boxes.
Pricing is set at $12.00 per cigar; $109.95. per box. Wagyu A5 will be available July 19 exclusively at www.JRCigars.com.

We should expect a fatty, squishy cigar that can be clipped with a butter knife? Just trying to stay with the Wagyu analogy.
