JR Cigars has announced the latest installment of its 50th Anniversary series will come from Foundation Cigar Company. The cigar is called the El Güegüense JR 50th Collector’s Edition. It’s a cigar based on Foundation’s El Güegüense 5 Year Aniversario blend.

El Güegüense translates to “The Wise Man.” El Güegüense is the name of a literary work that is very much a part of the fabric of Nicaragua culture. Melillo selected the name to pay homage to Nicaragua as he spent many years living there while at Drew Estate.

The El Güegüense JR 50th Collector’s Edition features a Nicaraguan Corojo ’99 wrapper, a San Andres binder and Corojo ’99 and Criollo ’98 fillers from Jalapa and Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigar is being released in one size – a 6 1/4 x 46 Lonsdale. This cigar is offered in a custom ten-count box with an art piece on the inside cover. The artwork was designed by Melillo and Foundation Art Director Alex Garcia. A total of 500 boxes have been made. Pricing is set at $13.00 per cigar; $116.95 per box.

This cigar will be available on August 17 exclusively at www.JRCigars.com.
