It turns out United Cigars will have at least two installments to its Firecracker Series. At this year’s Total Products Expo (TPE) 2023, United Cigars will team up with All Saints Cigars to release the St. Patrick’s Firecracker. St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. The St. Patrick’s Day Firecracker is a barber pole featuring oscuro and candela wrappers. Candela cigars are known for their green wrapper and typically are released shortly before the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

The Firecracker is a 3 1/2 x 50 that features a long fuse stemming from the cap. The series started as a concept created by David Garofalo as an exclusive to his Two Guys Smoke Shop stores as a cigar to commemorate Independence Day. The first Firecracker was done by My Father Cigars based on the Don Pepin Original Label. The series morphed into an annual release, with different manufacturers producing Firecrackers. Eventually, the series moved into Garofalo’s United Cigars distribution arm. While most of the cigars have been released around Independence Day, some releases have been timed with other holidays. This was seen on the HVC Black Friday Firecracker and now is seen with the St. Patrick’s Day Firecracker.

In a press release, All Saints Cigars Founder Micky Pegg said, “St. Patrick’s Day deserves a little extra spark and the St. Patrick’s Firecracker is the answer. This was a special collaboration that led to several factory trips and the result is a beautiful blend capturing the All Saints profile with that Firecracker kick.”

The Ecuadorian Oscuro wrapper that is intertwined with the Candela wrapper is the same one used on the All Saints St. Francis line. The remainder of the blend uses Nicaraguan tobaccos for the binder and filler. The 3 1/2 x 50 cigars will be presented in 20-count boxes with a total production of 6,000 cigars (300 boxes). The cigars will be made available to United Firecracker retailers. Pricing is set at $8.00 per cigar. Distribution will take place through United Cigars.

“We’ve worked extremely hard over the years to offer a unique perspective on blends for our Firecrackers,” said Oliver Nivaud, Director of Operations for United Cigars. “Celebrating any holiday with a Firecracker is a great start.”

This is the second Candela barber pole released by United Cigars. Two years ago, United released the Irish Car Bomb Firecracker.
