Sale of Imperial’s Premium Cigar Business
It’s official. Imperial Brands PLC is out of the premium cigar business. This week the transaction was made official between Imperial and the two investment groups making the purchase. The transaction includes the sale of such entities such as Altadis USA, Casa de Montecristo, JR Cigars, Santa Clara Cigars, Tabacalera SLU, Flor de Copan, Tabacalera de Garcia, and 50% of Habanos SA. - U.S. House of Representatives: H.R.1854 is the House Companion Bill to S.9. This week no new co-sponsors were added. The total number of sponsors remains 85.
